Working Smoke Detectors Save Family and Their Dog From House Fire

Racine, WI—Smoke detectors alerted a family to a fire inside their home. All six residents and the family dog were able to escape unharmed. The Racine County Fire Department arrived to see heavy smoke coming from the front door and flames inside the home. They were able to extinguish the fire within 18 minutes.
