Fire at Sugar Creek Apartments Displaces Two Thursday Night

Sugar Creek, MO—A fire at Sugar Creek Apartments displaced two residents, but thanks to the building’s sprinkler system, the damage was contained. The sprinkler activated quickly, helping to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading to the second floor or other units. Fire Chief John Barton credited the sprinkler’s effectiveness, stating that its prompt activation, along with residents’ quick evacuation and 911 call, prevented a more severe outcome.
